    京城记忆

    现在的北京城,还能找到多少旧时遗留下的印迹,已是谁也说不清楚了。听年长者提及小时对北京城最深的印象,总是会忆起长长的城墙和威严的门楼。只是这些早已逝去半个世纪有余,如今像摊煎饼一般不断向外扩张的城市和杂乱耸立的建筑,正在慢慢吞噬那些本已模糊的旧时记忆。

    许知远曾在一篇文章中写到:我们常夸耀自己的历史悠久,但在北京行走时,分明是在一座只有二十年历史的城市里的感觉。如果读过王军的《城记》,脑海浮现出的北京城应该会是另外一个模样,而非眼前这些只有二十年历史的建筑。在书店里无意撞见侯仁之先生的《北京历史地图集》,没有仔细翻看,大致记得有辽金元明清各个不同时期的北京地图。作为五朝古都的北京,近千年的发展历程里,从契丹到女真到蒙族到汉族到满族的历史沉积中,无一例外都把北京作为帝王的居所而精心修缮,逐渐形成了威严而独特的建筑文化,也留给人们如今散落在北京城街巷里或被忽视、或被遗忘的零星记忆。

    周末坐在国家地理讲堂的报告厅,主讲是对北京历史地理研究颇有造诣的李保田老师。慵懒的午后,只想眯起眼睛让冬日的光线随意打在身上,但讲座开篇的话语就让我心头猛地一震“我们不应该失去记忆,只有知道来历才会存有归属感和认同感,这样始终不会迷失自己,不会忘记回家的路”。在我看来,不少人喜欢的北京,依然是古老传统的那一部分。比如胡同斜街四合院,比如豆浆油条糖葫芦,比如评书相声唱京戏。有时骑车或步行在曲折的胡同或不知名的小巷里,一点点亲近悠闲的百姓生活,分享周围人们的喜怒哀乐,这样去认识和体验北京,必定是很惬意的方式。保留记忆,并非意味妥协于现实,即便梁思成先生五十年前的规划提议得以实施,北京城旧貌的保存也注定历尽坎坷。只是对于这座城市未来的模样,曾有的那些臆想和不安,依然不会因为有过教训就会让人感觉丝毫的释然。

    或许会有一天,早上醒来,清晨的北京可以听得见鸽哨回旋的声响,傍晚时分,还可以有遥远的悠悠钟声伴着归家的人们。那些对这座古老城市尘封已久的记忆,或许可以在就在某时某刻,奇迹般的悄悄苏醒。
